RGB Protocol Association Founded: Swiss Organization to Accelerate RGB Protocol on Bitcoin
The RGB Protocol Association is the Swiss non-profit organization that supports the development and adoption of RGB Protocol on Bitcoin, the open protocol for issuing and transferring digital assets natively on Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
Founded in July 2025, the Association brings together the organizations and individuals building on RGB Protocol on Bitcoin v0.11.1, the production-ready implementation. Members include Bitfinex, Fulgur Ventures, Tether, DIBA, and other ecosystem builders who chose RGB as the foundation for Bitcoin-native digital assets.
The Association’s mandate covers technical development support, documentation, education, and ecosystem growth. It operates independently of any single company and is structured to serve the long-term interests of the protocol and its users.
